the secret chamber of the heart

a plus/space exhibition by

nick wolf

The Secret Chamber of The Heart is a series of paintings by American artist Nick Wolf. The works span a period of time during which his close friend and confidant, filmmaker Eric Marciano, was diagnosed with cancer caused by the fallout of 9/11.

These paintings express aspects of the spiritual states that the artists shared in their communications together during the last years of Eric's life. The intention of the exhibition is to place the spectator in the eye of the emotional storm and, by doing so, elicit an acknowledgment of the fleeting nature of existence and how vital it is to love while it is still possible.
