Light - Wing - Geometry
Wing Study I explores the veiled geometry of the cube — its birth story — through sculpture and light.
The installation revolves around a steel construction called Swing an Arc. It traces the arc of the compass used to construct a cube. Projected into space, this arc becomes a wing. Follow It and a star and moon appear. These night forms are tokens of the curved and expanding universe, its primary curvature. Light traverses it with her companion, the wing.
The larger question we ask ourselves is whether light and other geometries can alter the vibration of a space, propose a different kind of harmony.
